My name is Oliver. I am the founder of

Central Texas Duck Rescue.

Central Texas Duck Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing abandon or sick domestic waterfowl.

We also rehome unwanted birds.

My goal is to educate people about waterfowl. 

 

A lot of the time, cute ducklings or goslings will be given as ''Easter gifts.''

They get messy and no one wants a very messy pet. 

People think ducks need lots of water so they take them to the lake or public pond. Most domestic ducks are incapable of flying or knowing what to eat.

 

They can also breed with wild ducks and the offspring will be unable to fly and will freeze in the winter.
